Transaction Fee Allocation

Fee allocations define from which accounts transaction fees are deducted. Configuration of fee allocations can be managed via the fee allocation endpoints. There are two types of fee allocations: Tenant Fee Allocations and Merchant Fee Allocations.

Tenant Fee Allocations

Tenant fee allocations apply universally across all customers associated with a specific tenant. They provide a consistent mechanism for fee application in general transaction scenarios and are not tied to specific currencies.

  • Key Features:
    • Broad, standardized use for tenant-wide transactions.
    • Not currency-specific.
    • For Crypto-to-Crypto transactions:
      • Fees can be configured to be deducted from a stable coin account.
      • If both currencies are stable coins or both are not stable coins, the fee is deducted from the specified account.

Merchant Fee Allocations

Merchant fee allocations allow merchants to define their own customized fee structures. This feature provides merchants with greater control over fee deductions for specific transaction scenarios.

  • Key Features:
    • Tailored to individual merchant needs.
    • Configurable for transactions involving speicific currency pairs.
    • The currency pair provided for the allocations must have two different currencies.
